Wooden Nickel Savings Program
For every $5 a child (age 0-12) deposits, they will receive a wooden nickel. Save your nickels to purchase one of the prizes below:
- 10 wooden nickels: Family Video rental
- 25 wooden nickels: $10 Willow Creek Cinema gift card
- 40 wooden nickels: Webkinz, Football, or $15 Dunham’s gift card
- 100 wooden nickels: $50 Savings Bond

Millionaire for a Day Contest
Delta County Credit Union held its third annual “Millionaire for a Day” contest to celebrate National Credit Union Youth Week in April. During Youth Week, each youth member that deposited $25 or more received a Sayklly’s candy bar. Lauryn Bloniarz of Bark River won the contest by finding the golden ticket in her candy bar.
On May 26th a limousine was waiting outside Bark River School to pick up Lauryn, along with two of her friends, Maddie Draze and Topanga Berger, and a few members of her family, Dylan Bloniarz, Abbie Flagstadt, Dean and Cindy Bloniarz. Their first destination was Delta County Credit Union, where Lauryn was given a grand welcome “red carpet” style by all the employees. Lauryn and her friends were presented gifts and then given a tour of the credit union by the CEO, Brenda Lippens. Afterwards they were treated to dinner at Hudson’s Classic Grill.
